Promoting Youth Leadership

Many school districts, community agencies, colleges and universities have recognized the importance of investing resources in those who have shown significant leadership.

Our leadership training programs stretch students' awareness of their own potential to lead by developing self-awareness, courage and compassion for themselves and others. Leadership training programs may involve multiple visits to the Farm.

The activist heritage of Fellowship Farm supports young people's desire to pursue the best for themselves and their communities.

What Participants Say about Our Youth Leadership Programs

" I learned that a leader isn't always someone who has the best grades or is the most popular. Having leadership stuff is important. I'm going to be a leader!"

"The most important thing I learned is how to deal with my problems instead of blaming others."

"I learned that racial harmony is possible. There was no hate here, no prejudice or segregation. We were one race here - LEADERS!"

"How fabulous to have our future leaders solve problems together, come face-to-face with their differences, and learn to use those differences positively. Hats off!"
-- school administrator

"Students learn that leadership skills come in all shapes and sizes."
